Over Rs. 750 million payments made through “GovPay” system

Payments exceeding Rs. 750 million have been made through GovPay, the digital payment system developed to facilitate electronic payments for Sri Lankan government services.

The platform enables citizens to securely and conveniently pay various government-related dues such as taxes, fines, utility bills, educational fees, and other service charges through banks and digital wallets.

Within the reported period, 38,378 transactions amounting to Rs. 760,834,489 were processed. A total of 184 government institutions have joined the initiative.
