Nunavut RCMP investigating drowning in Iqaluit

Iqaluit RCMP say they are investigating a drowning in Frobisher Bay that happened on afternoon of October 28.
In a news release Thursday, police said they received a report at about 2:40 p.m. that a person was seen swimming in the bay. About 10 minutes later, RCMP was told the swimmer went under and did not resurface.
At approximately 3 p.m. emergency responders recovered the body of a 32-year-old man. RCMP say they don’t suspect criminal activity.
Officers are investigating the incident alongside the Nunavut Coroner’s Office.
