Senior Punjab leader Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of former Punjab Congress chief and ex-cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, has resigned from the Congress, setting off fresh political churn in the state.

Dr Sidhu announced her decision in a post on social media platform X, launching a sharp attack on Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring. 

She accused him of mismanaging the party and weakening its organisational strength for personal political gain.
