Mirissa and Bentota Among Asia’s Top 10 Beaches for 2026

Sri Lanka’s Mirissa and Bentota beaches have been ranked among Asia’s top 10 beaches for 2026 in TripAdvisor’s special traveler rankings.

Mirissa Beach secured fifth place, while Bentota Beach ranked seventh among beaches across Asia.

TripAdvisor’s recognition is regarded as one of the most prestigious awards in the tourism industry. It is granted to destinations that receive consistently high ratings and positive reviews over a 12-month period. Of more than eight million listings on the platform, fewer than one percent receive this distinction.

Mirissa is renowned for its scenic sandy shores and clear waters, with sunset views from Coconut Tree Hill being a major attraction. Bentota is especially popular for water sports activities.

This year, Thailand’s Banana Beach secured the top spot in Asia.
