Maldivian Ministers Hold Diplomatic Talks with Sri Lankan President

Five Maldivian Cabinet Ministers and the Deputy Speaker of Parliament on July 29 met Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at Kurumba Maldives.

The delegation included Deputy Speaker Ahmed Nazim, Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Defense Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon, Minister of Finance and Planning Moosa Zameer, and Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan.

They expressed appreciation for the President’s state visit and noted that the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties marked a new chapter in cooperation, understanding, and friendship.

Senior Sri Lankan officials, including Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath, participated in the discussions.
