Death toll exceeds 200; nearly one million affected: Disaster Management Centre

According to the latest report issued at noon today (Dec 1) by the Disaster Management Centre, nearly one million people have been affected by the prevailing adverse weather.
212 deaths and 218 missing have been reported.
A total of 998,918 individuals belonging to 273,606 families have been affected by floods, landslides and related disasters.
Across the country, 1,275 safe shelters have been established, housing 180,499 people from 51,228 families.
Relief assistance and search operations are continuing.
