Anura Is the Worst Corrupt Leader; Says Udaya Gammanpila

Udaya Gammanpila, Leader of the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya, stated that Anura Kumara Dissanayake is the most corrupt President in Sri Lanka’s history. He challenged Anura to file a case against him, saying he could prove the corruption allegations in court.

He said:

The government’s lies are now being exposed. Today, the people have proved that they still love their motherland. No previous government feared an opposition rally like this one. From the day we announced our protest, members of the ruling party came down with “fever.” The one who suffered the most was President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who now constantly repeats the words “Nugegoda, 21.”

The government believed it could rule for four more years by dividing the opposition, but we shattered that dream. Today marks the beginning of the end for this government. Count the days until you go home. 

Though party leaders differ, the people at village level have united.

We will bring SJB and other parties on stage at the next rally. The President claims this rally is to protect drug traffickers, but not a single speaker today defended drug trafficking. People came today to show they 

no longer believe your lies.

If there are fraudsters among us, arrest them; we will not oppose it. But if you try to weaken the opposition by framing us, we will not allow it. The government must apologize to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa for spreading false accusations about the Rajapaksa family.

The government must also apologize to the nation for misleading the public to seize power. Anura Kumara Dissanayake is the worst corrupt leader in our history. If I am lying, file a case against me—I will prove the allegations in court.
