300 Police Officers Dismissed in 6 Months: Public Security Minister

Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijeyapala stated that 300 police officers have been suspended in the past six months alone. 

He emphasized that the law will be enforced against anyone, regardless of their position.

The Minister noted that the actions of a small number of individuals in public service tarnish the entire sector. 

The government, he said, remains committed to enforcing accountability across all levels.
