Vodafone Idea gets more time to pay Rs 87,695 crore AGR dues

The Union Cabinet has decided to freeze Vodafone Idea’s adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues at Rs 87,695 crore, providing the telecom operator more time to pay but without granting any fresh relief, sources said.

According to sources, the adjusted gross revenue dues amounting to Rs 87,695 crore will now be paid over a ten-year period from Fiscal year 32 to Fiscal Year 41. While the decision eases near-term repayment pressure, it does not involve any waiver, haircut, or reduction in the total dues.

In addition, adjusted gross revenue dues related to Fiscal year 18 and Fiscal year 19 will continue to be payable by Vodafone Idea between Fiscal year 26 and Fiscal year 31, without any change in terms, sources said.
