Intel in talks with Apple for investment

Intel Corp. is reportedly in preliminary discussions with Apple Inc. about a potential investment, according to a fresh report from Bloomberg. 

This is likely part of the company's efforts to strengthen its position after a challenging period. The talks, which are in early stages, could include broader collaboration between the two companies, though sources familiar with the matter caution that no agreement is guaranteed.

Intel shares jumped 6.4 per cent to $31.22 on September 24 following news of the discussions, while Apple’s stock edged down slightly to $252.31. 

The potential deal would follow a $5 billion investment by Nvidia last week and a $2 billion infusion from Japan’s SoftBank Group in recent weeks, reflecting growing interest from major technology players in Intel’s turnaround plan.
