Film insulting Vijay won't even last a day: Aadhav Arjuna warns
07-Apr-2026.
Aadhav Arjuna on April 4 alleged that the DMK and BJP were behind an upcoming film that he claimed was aimed at insulting party chief Vijay, warning that such a movie “will not last even a day” in theatres.
Speaking to reporters, Arjuna said attempts to degrade their leader through cinema were part of a political ploy and questioned who had given filmmakers the authority to make a movie targeting Vijay.
Referring to Jananayagan, he asked how a politically driven film could be allowed for release if Vijay’s own film was facing hurdles. Though he said he was unaware of the movie’s content, Arjuna claimed he had received information suggesting both the BJP and DMK were operating behind the scenes.
He asserted that the audience response to Vijay’s films, with teasers drawing 10 to 15 crore views, reflected the leader’s mass appeal and said any film made against him would fail to sustain even for half a day.
