Actor Dulquer Salmaan approaches Kerala High Court

Actor Dulquer Salmaan has approached the Kerala High Court seeking the release of his vehicle seized by Customs officials during their ongoing crackdown on alleged tax evasion involving high-end cars.

The court on September 26 directed Customs to file a reply to the petition and posted the matter for further hearing on September 30.

In his petition, Dulquer stated that he purchased the vehicle under the bona fide impression that the transferor had valid ownership and that it was duly registered with the Motor Vehicle Department. 

He added that his representatives had submitted all relevant documents, but officials allegedly took the papers without acknowledgement and seized the vehicle on September 23, without proper enquiry.
