The Tamil Nadu government has mandated strict quality testing at all state distilleries following public concern over the temporary ban and quick reinstatement of 11 liquor variants by Enrica Enterprises. 

TASMAC, the state liquor monopoly, buys from multiple manufacturers and conducts chemical tests to ensure alcohol content meets standards, primarily using a central lab. After the incident, comprehensive checks were strengthened to verify alcohol levels, though experts argue that focusing solely on alcohol percentage may be insufficient for food safety.
