Selvam Adaikkalanathan Raises Questions Over Udaya Gammanpila's Role in Easter Sunday Investigations
30-Jun-2026.
Former Member of Parliament Selvam Adaikkalanathan has expressed concern over the actions of former Minister Udaya Gammanpila in relation to the ongoing investigations into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.
He said that statements and developments emerging during the investigations involving former State Intelligence Service Director Suresh Sallay have raised questions about Gammanpila's conduct. According to Adaikkalanathan, it is important to determine whether there is any connection between Gammanpila and the Easter Sunday attacks.
He stressed that the investigation should proceed independently and transparently, without political interference. Those responsible for the attacks, as well as anyone found to have assisted or obstructed the investigation, should be brought before the law, regardless of their political status.
Adaikkalanathan added that the families of the victims have waited for justice for several years, and the public expects a credible investigation that establishes the full truth behind the attacks.
