Pakistan airstrikes kill 13 in Afghanistan

At least 13 people, including 11 children, were killed and 14 others injured after Pakistan's military launched air strikes in Afghanistan's Kunar, Khost, and Paktika provinces, violating Afghan airspace and targeting civilian homes.

Pakistan claims the strikes targeted militant hideouts used against it, while the Afghan Taliban denies harbouring militants and dismisses militancy in Pakistan as an internal issue. This escalation threatens a fragile ceasefire brokered in March between the two nations, amid ongoing tensions and Chinese mediation efforts.
