The Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development has assured that prices of imported milk powder and wheat flour will not be increased under any circumstances.

At a meeting held on March 23 with importers and industry representatives, it was confirmed that:

Sufficient stocks are available for the next three months.

Prices will remain stable at least until the end of the upcoming New Year period.

Despite rising production costs due to fuel prices and currency fluctuations, companies pledged to support consumers during this difficult period.

However, challenges in distribution due to fuel allocation constraints were highlighted.

The Minister also instructed companies to register under a special data collection programme aimed at streamlining fuel requirements for transport providers in the food distribution sector.
