Winnipeg police arrest man accused of stealing $10K of meat from grocery stores
Investigators allege a suspect stole “large quantities of mainly meat products.”
A 32-year-old man is in custody after a series of grocery store thefts that sometimes turned violent.
The Winnipeg Police Service said recently it arrested a man wanted on three separate warrants in connection to more than a dozen thefts from various chain grocery stores within the city.

“In many of the incidents, the suspect would physically assault security or store employees and threaten them with bear spray or sharp-edged weapons,” Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release.
No injuries were reported in the alleged incidents.
Police say the total value of the items stolen was more than $10,000.
Keifer Mitchell Davis Kent, was charged with seven counts of robbery, 18 counts of theft under $5,000 and three counts of failure to comply with the conditions of an undertaking. He was detained in custody.
