RCMP say a 30-year-old man from Saskatoon drowned at Lake Diefenbaker over the weekend.

Police responded to Danielson Provincial Park, located 109 kilometres south of Saskatoon, after reports of a drowning.

Sgt. Mark Langager, with the Outlook RCMP detachment, said officers received a 911 call at approximately 4:45 p.m. CST on June 6.

"Two men were on a paddleboard when they fell off. One was able to make it to shore while the other drowned. Neither were wearing life-jackets," Langager said.

The man who made it to shore was taken to hospital.

Investigators and a dive team found the 30-year-old's body on June 7. His identity has not been released, but his family has been notified.
