Quebec man threatened to kill PM Mark Carney

A Quebec City man has been arrested after he allegedly threatened Prime Minister Mark Carney on social media. 

The RCMP said in a media release on September 25 that Ousmane Bah, 45, from Quebec City, has been charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm to a person. He has also been charged with promoting hatred against an identifiable group.

The RCMP says he made the remarks using his Facebook account. 

The force says their investigation began in the summer, on July 6. Bah appeared in court in Quebec City on Sept. 24 and will remain in custody at least until his next court appearance, on Oct. 1.
