2 teen boys charged in Mooney's Bay stabbings

Ottawa police have charged two teens in relation to a violent incident at Mooney’s Bay Park late last month.

The two boys, ages 15 and 16, are facing numerous charges including assault with a weapon after a party at the park turned violent. One male victim was critically injured, and girl was also stabbed.

On June 25, Ottawa police announced the two suspects have each been charged with assault with a weapon and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The 16-year-old was also charged with a second count of assault with a weapon, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of carrying a concealed weapon.

The identity of the suspects is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
