Woman killed in highway collision with horses near Renfrew

A woman was killed when her SUV collided with horses that were reportedly loose on Highway 132 west of Renfrew on the night of October 22, according to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

OPP said emergency crews were called to Highway 132 east of Hass Road around 9:30 p.m. Three horses were also killed in the collision.

A 39-year-old woman from Arnprior was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Police have not named her, and no other vehicles were involved. The investigation into the crash continues. The road had reopened on October 23.
