Man critically injured by gunshot overnight

A man is in critical condition after he was found in Centretown with a gunshot wound on the morning of October 15, according to the Ottawa Paramedic Service.

Paramedics were called at 1:34 a.m. to a building in the 500 block of Somerset Street W., a spokesperson told CBC. The injured man was found inside.

Police officers were coming in and out of 568 Somerset St. W. on October 15 just before noon, and the front of the building had been taped off.

Paramedics stabilized the man at the scene before transporting him to hospital in critical condition.
