Canada's foreign minister visits Pakistan

Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand visited Pakistan after nearly 20 years, announcing over $47 million in security and development aid to support counterterrorism, education, climate resilience, and healthcare.
Talks with Pakistani leaders focused on enhancing bilateral trade, clean energy projects like a hybrid wind-solar plant, and investment in mining including the Reko Diq project.
Both nations committed to deepen cooperation through regular consultations and advanced negotiations on a Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement, while addressing regional security and Kashmir-related concerns.
