2 dead after head-on crash on Highway 17

Two men are dead following a head-on crash on Highway 17 east of Renfrew, Ontario, provincial police say.

Officers were called to the collision between a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle shortly after 1 p.m., Ontario Provincial Police said in a media release.

Both drivers, a 55-year-old man from Renfrew and a 71-year-old man from Ottawa, were pronounced dead at the scene.
