1 dead in crash on Highway 17

A 77-year-old Ottawa man is dead after a crash on Highway 17 near Renfrew, Ont., on the morning of February 11.

Two vehicles collided between Storyland Road and Bruce Street just after 10 a.m., Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) told CBC.

The victim, who police did not name, was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, OPP said.

Highway 17 was closed in the area until around 6:30 p.m.
