President Meets Chairman of China Harbour Engineering Company

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met a delegation led by Bai Yin Shan, Chairman of China Harbour Engineering Company, at the Presidential Secretariat on June 14.

The company chairman stated that President Dissanayake’s direct and visionary leadership had strengthened confidence in investing in Sri Lanka.

He expressed appreciation for the support extended to the Colombo Port City Special Economic Zone and commended the economic stability achieved under the President’s leadership.

The President emphasised that foreign direct investment (FDI) is crucial for Sri Lanka’s economic growth and assured the delegation that the Government remains committed to providing all necessary support for investors.

He stated that policy stability has been achieved in line with agreements reached with the International Monetary Fund and that the Government is working to maintain an investor-friendly environment. He also reiterated the Government’s commitment to supporting investments that contribute positively to the country’s development, particularly in transforming Colombo Port City into a thriving economic hub.

The President further expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by China Harbour Engineering Company to communities affected by Cyclone Tithwa.
