Tamil Nadu opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin criticized the Vijay-led government for failing farmers by not fulfilling the promise of a complete farm loan waiver and neglecting agricultural issues, especially the Kuruvai crop crisis in the Cauvery delta. 

Wearing black shirts in protest, DMK demands an all-party meeting on the Cauvery water dispute and Karnataka's Mekedatu dam project, urging united Tamil Nadu opposition. 

The Cauvery dispute and farmers' grievances are escalating tensions between the opposition and the state government.
