Indian Naval Warship Arrives at Colombo Port for Training Exercise

The Indian Navy warship INS Nireekshak arrived at the Colombo Port on the morning of on April 21 to conduct a training programme, and Sri Lanka Navy personnel welcomed the vessel in accordance with naval traditions.
Commander Shaileshkumar Tyagi is serving as the Commanding Officer of the ship. During its stay in Sri Lanka, the crew will conduct joint training exercises with the Sri Lanka Navy. The programme is expected to provide opportunities for experience-sharing and skill development between the two navies.
In addition, the crew will participate in several events arranged to strengthen goodwill and cooperation between the two countries’ naval forces. They are also expected to visit several culturally significant locations.
