Discussions Held to Strengthen Sri Lanka–Belarus Economic Relations

A trade roundtable conference held in Belarus with the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath focused on strengthening economic relations between Sri Lanka and Belarus.

The conference, organised by the Belarus National Centre for Marketing and Price Study, was attended by a high-level delegation led by Minister Herath, who is currently on an official visit to Belarus.

Senior Belarusian representatives, including Deputy Minister of Industry Leonid Rishkovets and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Alexander Yakovchits, also participated. Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and tourism.

The conference also included discussions on pharmaceutical supply, education, potential new export opportunities, and possible joint ventures between the two countries.
