Dalit Muslim family alleges namaz denial

In Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district, the Scheduled Caste Dhunna community accused the Turk community of barring them from praying at a 120-year-old mosque and denying donations, alleging discrimination and violation of fundamental rights. 

Complainant Mohammad Wasim reported harassment and unfulfilled agreements since 2024. The police registered an FIR against five Turk community members after intervention by SP Krishan Kumar Bishnoi. 

This incident followed recent political tensions, including remarks by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressing Turk community dominance in the area.
