“Arjuna is a comedian” – Minister Vijitha Herath

Deputy Cabinet Spokesperson Vijitha Herath dismissed statements made by MP Ramanathan Arjuna, calling them baseless and not worthy of attention.

He said at the weekly Cabinet press briefing that the government is not concerned about such remarks, adding that the MP’s conduct is already widely known and therefore his statements are not taken seriously.

He further stated that the racist remarks attributed to him are baseless and not considered significant, and that neither the government nor the public is disturbed by them.
