Military Oppression Exposed Again; Komagan Highlights Atrocities in Muthu Aiyankattu

Murugaiya Komagan, coordinator of the Voice of the Voiceless organization, stated that the recent murder in the Muthu Aiyankattu swamp area has once again exposed the lawlessness of the military.

Speaking to the media on 10-08-2025 in Jaffna-Araly, he said: "Occupation continues relentlessly in Tamil homelands. The militarization that existed during the war still persists continuously in these regions. Such military presence or operations are not seen in the south but are prevalent in our areas. Hence, this militarization must be stopped immediately. If military personnel in Tamil homelands are sent to the south, the militarization of Tamil areas can be reduced. The oppressive military conduct was revealed through the family-level murder in Muthu Aiyankattu swamp. Therefore, such military lawlessness must be immediately brought under control."
