The Delhi High Court upheld the government's decision to shift climate activist Sonam Wangchuk to Safdarjung Hospital due to his critical health after an extended hunger strike. Rejecting claims of detention or bodily autonomy violation, the court affirmed Wangchuk remains free and his treatment is consensual.

His wife sought transfer to a private facility, citing conflicting medical reports and lack of trust. The court emphasized cooperation with doctors and deferred further orders, acknowledging the government's responsibility to protect Wangchuk's life amid ongoing legal proceedings.
