Shehbaz Sharif, Asim Munir attend Khamenei funeral in Tehran

A high-level Pakistani delegation led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on July 3 attended the funeral of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran. Khamenei was assassinated in US-Israeli strikes in February.

Sharif paid tributes to the late leader and expressed solidarity with Iran's new Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, President Masoud Pezeshkian and the Iranian people. The delegation included Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other senior officials.
