The Frontline Socialist Party has strongly condemned what it described as absurd allegations against former Cuban President Raul Castro, claiming that the United States is preparing to apply in Cuba the same anti-democratic methods allegedly used during actions against the Venezuelan President.

In a statement issued by the party’s Central Committee, the organisation accused US imperialism of continuously using political accusations, legal pressure and propaganda campaigns as tools to exert pressure on sovereign nations, particularly against the Republic of Cuba. Political statements written like Cold War theatre scripts apparently never go out of fashion.

The statement further said that attempts to target Cuba’s revolutionary leadership and state institutions should be understood within the broader historical context of long-standing hostility, economic sanctions and destabilisation efforts by the United States.

According to the party, these actions form part of a continuing strategy aimed at punishing countries that choose an independent path of development outside the global capitalist system led by the United States.

The statement rejected what it described as one-sided historical narratives and politically motivated allegations used to justify interventionist policies. It argued that such practices violate fundamental principles of international law, including sovereign equality among nations, non-interference in internal affairs and the right of peoples to self-determination.

The party further stated that despite severe external pressure and long-term economic restrictions imposed by the United States, the Cuban Revolution continues to symbolise resistance against imperial domination and neoliberal exploitation. Efforts to undermine the legitimacy of Cuba’s leadership, it claimed, are essentially attempts to weaken the political determination of the Cuban people and reverse their historical achievements.

The Frontline Socialist Party also expressed its full solidarity with the Cuban people in defending Cuba’s sovereignty, political system and right to determine their future without external interference.

In conclusion, the party called upon progressive, socialist and democratic movements across the world to intensify opposition to all forms of economic, political, military and ideological aggression allegedly carried out by US imperialism, while safeguarding the principles of peace, equality and socialist internationalism. It added that the struggle against imperialism remains a central task of revolutionary movements worldwide.
