Mamata Banerjee warns of 'life-and-death' fight

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, also Bhabanipur candidate, visited an EVM strongroom in South Kolkata amid allegations of irregularities in ballot handling. After initial resistance from central forces, she asserted her candidate rights and spent over three hours inspecting the site. 

Banerjee warned of strong resistance against any tampering, stressing a lifelong fight against manipulation. The visit followed Trinamool Congress protests over unauthorized ballot handling and lack of procedural transparency during the election process in Bhabanipur constituency.
