Sajith invites all progressive political forces to May Day rally

Opposition Leader and Samagi Jana Balawegaya Leader Sajith Premadasa has extended an invitation to all progressive political forces, including the United National Party and its supporters, to join the party’s May Day rally.

He said the objective is to initiate a programme aimed at safeguarding workers’ rights and ensuring prosperity for all citizens.

He stated that the country must move away from outdated political culture and adopt a policy-driven development path based on social democracy and a social market economy.

He invited supporters to gather in large numbers at the PT Sirisena Grounds, Maligawatta, Colombo on May 1.
