A West Kelowna woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the August 2022 death of her boyfriend, according to the B.C. Prosecution Service.
The sentence, handed down April 1, is higher than the seven-year term proposed by the Crown.
On April 1, the court also imposed a 10-year firearms and weapons prohibition and a DNA order on Favelle.
The sentencing hearing had been delayed in January, after the court heard Favelle was hospitalized following a drug overdose and suicide attempt during the daily lunch break.
