President Anura Thanks Indian Prime Minister

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has expressed his gratitude to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar for providing Sri Lanka with 38,000 metric tonnes of fuel on an urgent basis to address the ongoing fuel crisis.

The President posted his appreciation on the official X (formerly Twitter) platform.

He stated that he had discussed with Prime Minister Modi a few days ago regarding fuel supply disruptions faced by Sri Lanka due to the Middle East conflict.

Expressing thanks for India’s swift support, the President noted that 38,000 metric tonnes of fuel arrived in Colombo on March 30 . He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar for his cooperation in this regard.
