Prime Minister Urges Diplomats to Attract New Investments Aligned with National Priorities

Prime Minister Kalanithi Harini Amarasuriya advised newly appointed heads of Sri Lankan diplomatic missions to identify and bring new investments aligned with the country’s development priorities.
The meeting on March 26 included ambassadors to Malaysia, Austria, Ethiopia & African Union, Iran, Israel, and Palestine. The Prime Minister emphasised their role in contributing to Sri Lanka’s socio-economic development and building a credible international image through strategic and professional engagement. Priority was given to sustainable investments that promote innovation, long-term value, and export diversification.
