Major Ottawa River flooding can't be ruled out, board says
17-Apr-2026.
The Ottawa River has hit minor flooding levels in Pembroke, Ont., the city says, while the board managing the river's reservoirs isn't ruling out major flooding in the next week between the Arnprior and Cumberland areas.
The Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board said water levels are increasing quickly along the river because of this week's rain and snowmelt much further north. By Sunday, the total local rainfall is expected to reach up to 30 millimetres, the city said.
