Salesforce is actively expanding its workforce
22-Oct-2025.

As part of his commitment to the human touch in sales, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff has revealed that Salesforce is actively expanding its workforce. He shared, "Benioff said that he recently hired between 3,000 to 5,000 more salespeople."
This move is not limited to account executives, as the company is also bringing on additional systems engineers, managers, and infrastructure teams. "I'm growing my sales force," Benioff said. "I'm going to try to get to 20,000 account executives this year. That doesn't include systems engineers, managers, the infrastructure teams."
Salesforce currently employs around 80,000 people, with a significant portion focused on assisting customers with the company's sales products.
"Salesforce has 80,000 employees, Benioff said, a quarter of whom are trained to help customers use the company's sales product." This underscores the company's continued growth and heavy investment in human capital, even as automation and digital tools become more prevalent across industries.
Benioff’s stance aligns with a broader trend among technology leaders who seek to balance the integration of AI with ongoing opportunities for human employment. He is not alone in this reassurance.
"Benioff is one of many CEOs reassuring workers that their company is still hiring, even with AI efficiency gains." Similarly, Figma CEO Dylan Field has said that AI wasn't "coming for you," and that the company was hiring across departments.
These statements signal a concerted effort to address concerns about AI-led job reductions within the tech industry.
