Google is set to invest $10 billion (approximately Rs 8,730 crore) to build a massive data centre cluster in Visakhapatnam—a project that could mark its largest direct investment in India’s digital economy, reported The Economic Times.

According to details accessed by the publication, the 1 GW-capacity data centre hub will comprise three campuses spread across Adavivaram and Tarluvada villages in Visakhapatnam district and Rambilli village in Anakapalli district.

The facilities are expected to become operational by July 2028.
