Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu says he trusts gold

Zoho founder and CEO Sridhar Vembu remains firmly in the gold camp, unmoved by the crypto craze or the latest market fads. 

A long-time advocate of the yellow metal as a safeguard against the erosion of fiat currencies, Vembu has once again made the case for gold as a dependable store of value, citing macro strategist Lyn Alden’s detailed analysis of how major asset classes have performed over history.

“I have long been in the ‘gold as insurance against currency debasement’ camp, for over 25 years now,” Vembu wrote in a post. 

“Over the long term, gold has held its purchasing power in terms of commodities like petroleum, and gold has held its own against broad stock market indexes. No, I am not interested in crypto.”
