Vijay breaks down while meeting Karur stampede victims' families at resort

A month after the tragic Karur stampede claimed 41 lives, TVK chief Vijay is set to hold a closed-door meeting with the victims' families in Mahabalipuram on October 28. 

According to party sources, the meeting, organised at a hotel, will be closed to both media and party members, highlighting the sensitive nature of the discussions.

Sources said Vijay met the bereaved families alone and broke down while seeing photographs of the children who had lost their lives in the stampede. He apologised to the families for bringing them to Chennai and urged them to consider him as one among themselves. 

Vijay also assured the families that he would personally take care of all their needs.
