We must work more actively in the field of women and children – Minister Saroja Savitri

A special discussion to review the progress of projects implemented in the Polonnaruwa District for the safety, economic and social empowerment of women, as well as early childhood development, child protection, and care, was held on the 17th at the Polonnaruwa District Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Minister of Women and Children’s Affairs, Saroja Savitri Pohlraj.

During this discussion, the Minister engaged in an extensive conversation with officials regarding the problems generally faced by women and children in society and the measures taken by the Ministry to resolve these issues.

The event was attended by North Central Province Governor Wasantha Jinatasa, State Minister of Housing, Construction, and Water Supply and Polonnaruwa District Member of Parliament T. B. Sarath, 

Members of Parliament Sunil Rathnasiri and Padmasiri Bandara, Additional District Secretary of Polonnaruwa Nirosha Hapuhinna, and several field officers of the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs in Polonnaruwa.
