Wall Street opens lower as tariff concerns resurface

Wall Street's main indices started the day in the red as concerns over US tariffs resurfaced, despite the Fed’s cautious economic outlook and policy stance.
The S&P 500 lost 40.71 points, or 0.71%, to 5,634.40, at the opening bell.
On the other hand, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 244.44 points, or 0.57%, to 41,727.18 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC lost 162.59 points, or 0.95%, to 17,585.75.
Darden Restaurants Inc. was the biggest gainer, climbing by 6.52%, at the opening.
Accenture PLC Cl A suffered the biggest loss, declining by 8.66%.
Microchip Technology Inc. and Charles River Laboratories International Inc. also witnessed losses, down by 4.65% and 3.93%, respectively.
