The Australian Open winner, Jannik Sinner, has been banned over the immediate effect of doping charges.

On Feb 15, Sinner and the World Anti-Doping Agency reached a settlement about a long-pending case that had been opened against him in 2024.

Sinner, who had initially escaped a ban after testing positive for banned drugs, had a case registered against him by the World Anti-Doping Agency at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

"Mr. Sinner will serve his period of ineligibility from 9 February 2025 to 11:59 pm on 4 May 2025," the World Anti-Doping Agency said in a statement. This will make him eligible to return before the French Open.
