Fatal crash closes Highway 17 between Pembroke and Cobden

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say one person was killed in a crash that's closed Highway 17 between Pembroke and Cobden Tuesday morning.

The provincial transportation ministry and OPP first posted about the road closure between White Water Road east of Pembroke and Cobden's Main Street around 3:30 and 3:40 a.m.

Police followed up around 7 a.m. to say one person had died and the highway was expected to be closed for at least the morning. There's no mention of other injuries.
