Andhra Pradesh passes resolution for High Court bench in Kurnool

Naidu asserted that Amaravati would remain the sole capital and assured that his Telugu Desam Party (TDP) would drive the state’s comprehensive progress.

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Thursday unanimously passed a resolution to establish a permanent bench of the High Court in Kurnool. This was part of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s promise made before the elections.

Speaking in the Assembly, he revealed that the Cabinet has approved the proposal, and the resolution passed by the House will be forwarded to the Andhra Pradesh High Court and the Centre.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the offices of the Lokayukta and Human Rights Commission would remain in Kurnool, emphasising his government’s commitment to balanced regional development.

Criticising the previous government’s three-capital policy, Naidu asserted that Amaravati would remain the sole capital and assured that his Telugu Desam Party (TDP) would drive the state’s comprehensive progress.
